Our apps are in use every day: with service technicians in plant rooms without reception, with event photographers in the middle of the action and in our own products. Design, app development, backend and operations all sit with our team in Bad Cannstatt. That means no hand-overs between agencies, and you have one point of contact for the entire app.
For iOS we develop with Swift and SwiftUI, for Android with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose. Where an app is not needed, we tell you so: Stundenplan-Digital, for example, deliberately runs as a progressive web app in the browser – with no app store and no installation.
Apps for field service. Capture service reports, photos, spare parts and signatures digitally – even without a connection and linked to your ERP system.
Apps that use device features. Camera, offline storage and external devices: for ClicClic, our apps control professional cameras from Canon, Nikon and Sony directly.
Customer apps and digital products. Apps with a subscription model and AI features, such as Inventary, where one subscription works across iOS, Android and the web.
Backend and office view. Behind every app there is a backend with an API and a web interface for your office, connected through clean integrations. You can read all about our approach under Mobile Apps.
Since 1983, Stenger has been selling, servicing and repairing pumps across the Greater Stuttgart area, including a 24-hour emergency service. In the past, every job was documented on paper and typed up in the office. Since autumn 2025, the technicians have recorded their findings, working hours, spare parts, photos and the customer's signature in our app for iPhone and Android.
The service report reaches the office straight after the job, and by the next morning it is in the GDI ERP system with all its photos. In a plant room without reception, technicians simply carry on working and the app syncs in the background. We introduced it step by step: first, the familiar paper forms were scanned in the app, then the digital service report replaced them. Read the full story in the Stenger case study.
Based on our cost model, a simple app for iOS and Android comes to about €21,000–38,000, and an app with login, backend and an integration to €50,000–89,000. Extensive native apps can cost €150,000–270,000 – all figures net, including project management and quality assurance.
Which features drive the price and which ongoing costs come on top is explained in our guide How much does an app cost?. For an estimate for your app idea, try our project cost calculator.

Both are possible. Native apps built with Swift and Kotlin play to their strengths when the camera, external devices, offline use or a particularly smooth user experience are at the heart of the app. For simpler apps, a cross-platform solution or a web app can be more cost-effective. We recommend the route that fits your requirements and your budget.
No. For businesses in Stuttgart and the surrounding region, in-person workshops are easy to arrange, for example when we get to know your field service processes or walk through a prototype together. But meetings and test rounds work just as well by video call and with test versions on your devices. We are happy to work with you in English.
Yes. We prepare the release on the App Store and Google Play, guide the app through Apple's and Google's review and keep it up to date afterwards. Apps used only by your own staff can also be distributed without a public store listing.
If the use case requires it, yes. Stenger's service app, for example, stores the service report, photos and signature on the device and transfers them as soon as there is a connection again. We plan offline capability in from the start, because it has a fundamental impact on data storage and synchronisation.
Apple and Google release new operating system versions every year, and your users come up with new requests. We take care of the maintenance of the app and backend and develop the app further based on real feedback.
